Bassist REV JONES And Drummer PETE HOLMES Quit MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP
May 6, 2005Rev Jones (bass) and Pete Holmes (drums) have officially resigned from MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP "due to continuous cancelled tour dates and bad management decisions," according to a statement released by Jones. "This was not due to any personal problems with Michael, it was purely a business decision."
In other news, Rev is heading in the studio this weekend to finish the Jeff Martin (MR. BIG) solo album. While in the studio, Rev and Jeff will also be laying down tracks on a song for the new Jack Frost (SEVEN WITCHES) solo album. The track will feature Rev on bass/"warrguitar", Jeff Martin on vocals, and Patrick Johansson (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on drums.
As previously reported, BARNEY FIFER, the new band featuring Jones, Holmes and guitarist Rick Plester (BLACK SYMPHONY),will be performing on May 6 at Mr. Cues in Lancaster, California. Also appearing on the bill will be former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Gilby Clarke. More information is available at RevJones.com.
